    Runtime Erro will not install

    Hi,

i am trying to install a program i have created via Developer/package solutions.

the program is package but when i go to install it it says

" Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version can not continue. To remove or config the existing version of this product use ADD/Remove programs"

i have checked ADD/Remove and no programs are installed. i have also went thru the programe fiel and anywhere else and removed any copies. i have also tried changing the version when packaging but to no avail?

does anyone know the reason for this?

    Cheers,

    Col.

I'm 99% sure it is not talking about Access. is this with the developer extensions that you made this package? I guess so, right?

The title that you give the program is what shows up in the control panel list of programs. You might check that first. also, have you run ccleaner? or another cleanup program? how about a registry cleaner? reboot the machine?

are all of the installation folders out of the windows folder structure from the first time it was installed?

Is this a program you bought? If so, does it use Access files (mdb, mde, etc.)? I would ask the person who coded the program, what was it developed in.

Another thing; do you think you installed it more than once?

Hi thanks for the reply. i have sorted it i think it stemmed from me using the wrong saved template in the package deployment. when i uninstalled the other access runtime programe and then used the correct template and reinstalled both it seemd to solve it.

cheers and thanks for you help.
