Troubleshooting Custom Access Database

hello all,



My work has an Access 2000 format Access file. How can I troubleshoot this access file? I have already compared and contrasted the dependent library References and they are loaded. The version and bit type is 2016 and 32. it is the same version and bit version as the original machine that can run the file. Is there some how a way to see what is loading and when?

Perhaps you could zip the database and paste your zip file along with some instructions on how to run the database.

I have done my best in unwrapping the Access database to show me the objects such as Tables, Queries, and Reports on the left hand side but I cannot expand the object viewer. Anyone know what setting I need to adjust to get it to expand out?

Hey!, I found it! Now I can at least look at the linked tables.

I have attached some screenshots of what I am looking at so far. The linked Tables are looking for the connection of: Eclipse. According to my ODBC connections information, I do not have the connection. How can I setup the Eclipse connection?

Have you ever created an ODBC data source before?

You need to know where your tables are located: the path and the database engine (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL,...)
"Eclipse" is the name of the connection. So you would click on the "ADD" button and follow the prompts.
The "Configure" button means "Edit". Just don't click on OK unless you REALLY mean it.

You could select the data source "ora_eclipse", then click the "Configure" button to see what the info is.

You can click the ADD button and create an Eclipse data source )as a test) just to see how it works. (google "create and odbc data source" - no quotes)

Once you have a data source that connects to your tables, you can relink the tables using the ODBC connection.
