    Angry Error 20534

I recently updated an Access db from Access 97 to Access 2003.

When I point the app to the new Access 2003 db and try to print I get the following error:

"Error detected by database dll. Error number 20534"

When I point the app to the old Access 97 db and try to print I do not get any errors.

I tried unregistering dao360.dll as some postings on the web suggested, but when I do that I get a different error:

"An error occcured while printing. Unable to open database. Error number 20533"

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

well alot changed between 97 and 2003. offhand I don't know the answer because I can't remember every fix of every error code - - but to have something like this occur, while frustrating, is not at all unusual. databases are more complex than Word docs. do a google on that exact error number and message - and there is a good chance you will find an exact Q/A on this topic.

it may be a reference issue that is missing - is my first guess.

otherwise - try and isolate the code, if it is vba, and deactivate it....and rewrite with new code. sometimes in cases like this just a new write is alot faster than figuring out the fix of old code....but it depends on how much is involved.

    hope this helps a little.
