Newbie question on lookup field in a form

I am trying to add a lookup field in the "Desktop Account Ledger" template database. I added a table with 3 fields consisting of 'Account Names', 'Account ID' and "Account Type". In the Desktop Account Ledger database I added the field of "Account Name" and designated it as a lookup field from the Account Names table. When I select the Account Name , only the Account name is entered into the form. I wish to have the Account ID and Account Type brought into that record. I'm sure there is a simple way to do this but can't seem to find out how. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
