Table to not create a new record within a subform

Is there a way for a table not to create a new record each entry within a sub-form? We have a database for all of our donations. I added a table for all of our Auction items so we are able to copy the information in on separate lines for ease of making our program but now it is affecting other reports. I only want one entry per year.

if you dont add anything to the subform, it should not create a record on its own.

Really hard to tell without having the dB to look at.

There is a main form (Donor info)
which has a sub form (Auction data)
which has a sub form (a sub-sub form) of the donated(?) items to the auction.

There is no reason for the sub-sub-form to create records in the sub form (if designed correctly).
    Maybe post your dB??

It also looks like there is a 2nd sub form, "TOL subform", on the main form. I would use a tab control to keep from having to scroll the main form.

You should first open the dB, do a "Compact and Repair", save and close the dB, then Zip it. Then you can attach the zipped file - if the file size is under 2 mb.

    To attach:
When writing a reply. click on the "Go Advanced" button.
Scroll down to the "Manage Attachments" button and click on it. Follow prompts.
