    Re-linking of tables

    Good Day

I need some assistance. I need to relink the tables in my database because of the pathname that changed.

I was able to do so using the linked table manager but I need to change the path to start \\JHB\.... in stead of S:\.... because the database is access by multiple users across multiple regions.

I cannot seem to edit the pathname, it forces me to browse for the folder which then changes the pathname to start with S:\ ...

Is there any other way of getting around this?

    Thank you in advance!

Remove the mapped drive from your system and browse to the folder using the UNC path in the explorer window.

Where I worked, I wouldn't have removed the mapped drive for this, as it would have to be reinstated. All I did was copy the UNC path to the clipboard and paste it in the path box of the dialog. Sometimes it would prompt me every time, so it could get a bit tedious. Other times it would only take one paste operation and it applied the path value to all tables that were checked off for remapping. In the end, they all had the correct network path.
