Is it possible for a user to be able to choose Which fields in a report they want to print in stead of printing the whole report just to get a few pieces of information?

Is it possible for a user to be able to choose Which fields in a report they want to print in stead of printing the whole report just to get a few pieces of information?

possible? Probably, but not too common.
You might consider reports for various options and allow user to select which option.
eg.
1- Full detailed report
2- Full report (summarized)
3- Sample report with say 10 fields
4-sample report with sorting/grouping options
