    Export to Excel

I have a query of a table that contains latitudes and longitudes with 4 decimal places (i.e. 39.4623, -122.0963). When I try to export, or even copy and paste, to Excel I only get 2 decimal places, even if I first format the Excel columns to 4 decimal places. The result is 39.4600, -122.0900. Please any suggestions on a fix?

I just tried exactly the same thing - Access postcodes table with latitude & longitude data to 6 d.p.
The data was exported with all d.p. and that's without specifying anything in Excel.

Did you tick the option to export all formatting & layout (as I did)

Thanks for the reply. I'm fairly new to Access and I'm not familiar with the term "postcodes". Are you talking about the postal codes used in the UK? The data I have are for bodies of water in the US and is formatted in the table as 4 decimal place numbers. Did I incorrectly setup the original table? I did click the "export all formatting and layout" checkbox.

Sorry - postcodes are UK postal codes ....but that's not relevant to your problem.
I just meant I also exported lat/long data & didn't experience your issue
The point is there's something about your setup that makes the outcome different

Try exporting to a NEW Excel spreadsheet & remember to tick the option in Access to export all formatting & layout
If it still doesn't work, I suggest you upload your database with that one table so someone can test it.

Also what version of Access & Excel are you using?

BTW - welcome to the forum
