Positioning of Column values in a Table

The db with the zip file that is attached, please examine the screen capture of one of the table which is also attached.

My question is as one can see in the columns in the screen capture sometimes the value in the column is on extreme left or extreme right.

I am not sure what governs this. Is it an attribute that I can set when I create the table? Is the decision made by MS Access?

This file is in MS Access 2016. I just moved an MS Access 2010 file over to a different computer. So in the end i am concerned that whatever, i learn here can be also used on MS Access 2010.

Just what governs the positioning of the column values.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

By default numeric data types are right justified, text values are left justified. You can format the field in the table, but I never do.

So this is something that is best left alone? It just seems a little inconsistent. That is all.

    Any help appreciated.

I wouldn't say "best", it's just not something I bother with. It is consistent in that all numeric types align one way, text the other. If you want, you can format it in the table design view and it will carry through to queries and forms, if memory serves. I've got a client that does it.
