Tables from previously loaded database show up in new database

I loaded a MDE database that was given to me by someone else. It contained security restrictions to access some objects, including the tables. After looking at some of the objects in this database, I closed it out. Now, whenever I open any other database, or create a new one, these hidden tables show up in the object list for the new database. How do I get rid of them? They still have security restrictions on them that prevent my from deleting them.

Did you open the MDE database with a reference to an MDW security file? If so, are you opening the other databases - or a new one - with a reference to that same security file?

If so, try removing the reference to the MDW.

No, the only file I have is the MDE, no MDW file was given to me.

Clarification-tables are created each time new file is opened

After checking the properties on the mystery tables, it appears that new tables are created each time I open a database. The tables have the same content and properties as the originals, but are new. Is there a template file for Access somewhere that has been modified to include these tables?

In addition, when someone else signs on to the same computer, they do not experience the same thing, so it seems specific to my user info.

    Mystery Solved

    OK, I'm dumb.

The tables that show up are system tables that are in every database. In looking through the new database file, I checked the View System Objects box in Options, and so they showed up in whatever database I opened.

    Thanks for your help
