    random results in reports

Here is an interesting thing. I have a 'program' that is basically an access DB with a fancy front end. In fact, I see it using access in the background quite often. Anyway, I have a report that I specify a date (like the end of the month), and the report should give me a list of tools that are due in my office that have any due date prior to the date I give. What is interesting is that I will see different things show up in my report that have not been in the report before, although the due date is 4 years ago. I fail to understand how an item could not be in the report yesterday, but then show up today. No, there is no one else here that would be changing things (I wish there were, it would easy to fix it). Anybody else seen reports 'miss' data one day, then show it the next even though it should have been there both days.

Not to be a real pain, but I kinda figured ' something wrong', just not sure what it is. Basically, the report looks at 2 criteria. One is a 'status' code, the other the due date. Only items with a certain status are looked at, then those with a due date prior to the date I specify are reported. Most of the data that comes up intermittently has some other data missing in other field or 2, but these fields are not involved in the sorting of the report. What makes this even more troublesome is that the same report that I ran yesterday will show more items today, even though the criteria it is looking at should have made it in the report both days. I keep trying to clean up my data, but so far have not found any common issue cause this.

What's the SQL of the query driving the report? Do you have a sample database you can share that can duplicate the problem you're experiencing?

I do not have a sample DB to post. It just happened again today, and I am still trying to sort what is doing. I have tried talking with the company that sold us the software, but have not gotten anywhere with them. It seems the people I actually have talked to on the phone while I am sharing my screen understand what I am looking at, but have not been able to identify the cause, or get any answers from their programmers.

I don't see how we can help if you don't provide the information requested. It should not need the full db to be uploaded
