    MS Access Analysis software

I have found out about the software MS Access Analyzer at www.accessMVP.com/strive4peace. My question is this software any good for analyzing an MS Access 2010 database? Also, at the site which version do you download? There are many including non-compiled version which frankly makes no sense since what good is non-compiled software?

Also, what software tools does MS Access itself have that allows one to analyze the design of a database.

Any help appreciated. Thanks inn advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

The non-compiled Analyzer is an ACCDB Access file. Non-compiled means it is not an ACCDE executable. You work with non-compiled database files every day.

Access has Database Documenter, Performance Analyzer, Analyze Table tools on the Database Tools tab. The Documenter only outputs to printer, uses a LOT of paper. I ran it once to see what it offers and never looked at it again, nor any third-party analyzer tool. Never looked at the other two.

Since they appear to provide the file for free, why don't you download and explore.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

I will download one and try it. I just did not know which one to download.

    Thanks for your help.
