    Pdf Viewer with Web Browser

    Hi

I have a form with a web browser control used to view pdf files. When I first set it up it was all OK but now when I change the file reference the default viewer opens outside Access rather than within the control on my form. This happens whether I set the default pdf viewer to chrome, edge or my preferred viewer, Nitro PDF. Every time I select a file the viewer program opens. I can't see any other controls that I have changed so why does the file open in the viewer and not within the webbrowser control in my form?

    Thanks

    Max

    Addendum ....

What happens at present is when i select the file a File Download box pops up asking what i want to do with the file... "Do you want to open or save this file" with options open, save and cancel. What should happen is that the file is displayed in the webbrower control.

First, the built-in Web Browser Control (WBC) is a wrapper for Internet Explorer (IE). You will need to make sure that IE is set to open the PDF in the browser not a separate.
