Access 2013: How to get Data already in Database to Load into a Form

    Greetings,

I am having a strange problem in Access 2013.

I can create data on my main form and get it stored in the database, but if the form is ever closed and re-opened, the data, even though it is already in database, is no longer available for edit, which is a major problem. I

'm sure there has to be a fix for this, because what use is a form if you cannot edit data that is already present in the database?

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you all for your attention to this matter.

Sounds like the Data Entry property of the form is set to Yes.

Are you searching for the right record? When a form opens it will open on the first record in the table.

No need to feel dumb! Common sense would dictate that a Property Named 'Data Entry' would need to be set to 'Yes' in order to...enter data, instead of being set to 'Yes' in order to only enter new Records!

Just one of the Access Gnomes little jokes!
