Hi,
I am now at this level of Access and VBA programming:
- I Understand Modules, Procedures, debugging and calling a procedure or function.
- Know how to link in with Access events (Open, on load, After Update etc.)
- Calling a Query, opening/closing a form
- Select Case - I know and understand part of this
- Left, Right and Mid functions - I know and understand most of this
- Loops ,Ffor Loops , Do Until loops - I have used some and have some knowledge on what they can do.
- Variables - I understand and know how to pass values around
- Lastly I am familiar with Iff statements and Goto
- Need a little exposure on Error handling
What I now need is some experience of solving a problem with some or all of the tricks above to get the level of some of the great programmers on this Forum.
I am learning via YouTube, Books, PC Courses etc. etc. but I now need the mind set of what you see when presented with an Access problem.
What's the process, paper pen? Break it down with one code function and then another to get to the end result.
I Imagine most of you are now know straight away what to use, what approach to take as I'm guessing most techniques apply to most problems.
Can any help myself by providing any examples of a problem, of what thought path you had and approach you had to solving it.
Any ideas, comments, book scenerios and examples you can provide I will be grateful!
Thanks
Darren
