    Sorting forms.queries etc

    Hi

not sure what my question should be so here's what I want to acheive.

Have my database which holds 30 forms and 40 or so queries

each form has a set of linked forms and queries.

Each "set" starts with the same word
    Baptism, Marriage, Banns and Burial

Is there a wayof using the navigation panel to show them in groups so that when working on say Deaths I can hide baptism, marriage, banns etc

    thanks

    Ian

maybe what you need is to right click on the nav pane header, choose navigation options... choose Custom and create groups then add items to the group. I've not done much with this but I presume you can add tables and associated queries, forms and reports to a group. It's been a long time since I had that many objects of a type in a db. I prefer to reuse forms or reports as much as possible and group by type (so that all tables are together, all reports together, etc.)

make you nav form with buttons,
set each button to open a form: Baptism, burial....
in each form the query should ONLY open that data. frmBurial, should have query qsBurial. (which pulls only burials)

    Sorry losing the plot

YOur suggestion of right click and set up groups was exactly what I wanted.

Now I can easily start trouble shooting

    thanks
