    Table Issue

I am trying to update a table with a new field and add a default value of 0. Now that I have added this in design mode. When I go to datasheet mode, I find the new field but no default value. The field is also required. Is there a reason for the default value not showing up in the table records?

The value won't show for "old " rows I think. However try creating a bound text box on a form to see if the default value shows there.

No, I added a bound text box and it looks the same as the datasheet view.

    Thank you for the response.
