Making space avaialble on a form

I have a space that I allotted on a form that I am adding the contents to consisting of a new form - a was much smaller form.

The larger form took all the space at the top of the form to which the small form is being added so something had to be done to get
an blank area opened up at the top of the receiving form.

To do this I selected everything on the large form and moved it down as a group to make room for the small form to come over and be moved to the top
of the receiving or second form.

I did not moved it enough! I still need to make more space! The original idea of selecting everything and moving
them down as group does not seem to work this time.

I am wondering if there is an easy way to create more space for the small to go on the larger second form.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

The db disappaers from the screen when I open up this modofied form

I have combined two forms on this data into one form. It is a tight squeeze, but everything fit on the second form.

I saved and closed the database.

Then I opened up the database and clicked on this new form in form view and everything (the whole db) closes.
It only happened in form view. If I opened that form up in design view then it opened in design view, but the minute that
the I put that form in form view the database closes completely.

    Blank screen.

It does not do this on any other form except the modified form and I find it confusing.

I compacted it and corrected it and this stops. Everything is fine now. But only after I compacted and corrected the db. What is going on?

    Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

well that's mighty ugly indeed. what ever is the record source for that problem form - you want to open that by itself (table or query) and see if that works.... not the form.

Of course there could be a line of code explicitly closing the database that is triggering it; but assuming that doesn't exist there must be some bad circular logic....

so then if you've narrowed it down to be caused by the form, and not it's record source - then you need to put the form in design view and begin to dissect things. As you know in design view you'll see any fields that are not bound - also look at the Order by and Filter by properties as well as the Grouping properties.
