    Hover-Over on a field heading?

    Hi all

Is there any way of adding hover over to make more text viewable on a field heading? I'm making a system whereby people enter grades for students and the field heading ideally would display the text what the grade is for, for example Count to 10. I am aware that this isn't an idea use of field names but not sure how else to do it. Count to 10 is a simple one which would fit but they do get a little longer. For reports I know thats easy to change the titles but for the form entry screen I need the information to be clear there. Any ideas much appreciated?

Or use alias names (captions) for the fields. Not sure why you'd have this issue unless you're allowing direct edits on tables, which you normally shouldn't. The hover thing works - maybe most of the time but it can be flaky.

Thanks! Micron - the problem I have with the caption is that I can write exactly what I need but I can't read the text as I am unable to wrap the text into the header, I was hoping with hover-over that it would maybe make this all look a little cleaner. Unless theres another way of using captions and wrapping text or even changing its direction that would be great and totally solve the problem.

You have to provide more info about what you have to permit more suggestions. I wondered if this was a table but am no clearer on that as of yet. If it's a form, you probably already know you can wrap text in labels, so I'm unclear as to what other suggestions to make. If you're looking for long phrases as descriptors, the hover text may be your best bet. Descriptive labels above controls are another option, but I'm rambling here without knowing what you're doing.
