    drop-down box inconsistency

I have created a combo box on a form called 2A in which I want to display a field called description, a field called servicesid, and a field called sectionnumber.

When pulling in this form via an update database or via an existing full database, on one particular 2007 database, the combo box display shows service id, followed by description, followed by sectionumber. It selects service id in the drop-down box.

But if I go back to it some time later, it rights itself and shows the data the way I want it, and puts the description in the combo box. I have a customer who is experiencing this phenomena but her system will not right itself.

I'm reading several accounts of "wonky" behavior with combo boxes. Does anyone have any experience to help solve this problem. If I replaced the combo-box with a list box, should I expect different behavior.

I have seen some 'wonky' things too. What I did was delete the combo, put another there, name it the same.(and settings)
    and then it worked fine.

    Access phantoms.

Thanks for that idea. So far it is working. Really appreciate the help, and glad to hear it is quite likely an Access problem, and not dementia setting in.
