Lookup Column Using Specific Keywords Only

    Hi,

Is there a way that I can use Access' lookup column function using specific keywords and not alphabetically? For example I would like to narrow down my search from the database with the name "michael" it will return the names John Michael, Michael Anthony, Paul Michael, etc?

    Thank you.

    Michael

In a query, set the criteria for the field to Like * & Michael & *

Thank you for your response. I was hoping for a scenario wherein I linked 2 tables in access. 1st table is for food items, 2nd table is for ordering. However, if i created a form from the ordering table i will then link food item table. in the ordering form, the display is alphabetical. But I have 2000 items. So if i type "steak" it will not just give me based from the drop down list, steak beef, steak meat, steak sauce, but all items from the food item table with the word "steak" in it.

    Thanks again
