    Naming databases

Sorry, I'm a new user and want to enter all my accounts with their contact info. How can I name that database? I want a name like, Accounts or Customers....I don't want database 1 or 2..etc. Thank you.

    Welcome to AccessForums!
Have you already created the database, or are you still in the planning stages? You can name the database whatever pleases you. I suggest you choose an informational and accurate name, this way you will know what it is for years down the road, or after a long time of inactivity. When you first create the database you are given the opportunity to create the name. Access will automatically name it 'database1', 'database2', etc. if you do not enter in a name. If you already created it, you can rename it like any other file, right click and select "rename" from the drop down menu.
