Its Only A Poor Zero...Why wont it Show???

    Hello,

I have a Table in Access, in the table there is a column called 'Volume' the data-type for the volume column is set to Number (Because only numbers can be inputted)...However when I go to the volume column in the table and enter 001
then go to the next line, Access removes the two zeros. I need the zero's to show if that is possible...

Does anyone know how I can get the Zeros to show with out changing the data type of the field to text. I tried assigning the Allowed Zero Length Value, but that is not allowed w hen the data type is set to Number.

    Let me know...

Leading zeros are only available in Text fields but you can format the display of the field so they appear to be there.

So the actual value is 1 but display as 001.
Just change the format of the number to "000" in the form or report when requried.
