    how to fix MaxLocksPerFile

I keep getting this error "File sharing lock count exceeded. MaxLocksPerFile registry entry"

I'm using windows 7 and microsoft access 2013 and I work with very large Access and Excel files.
I tried to increase the MaxLocksPerFile setting however still isn't fix.

Kindly help , thanks in advance.

This is how I edit the maxlock
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    • SOFTWARE
      • WOW6432Node
        • Microsoft
          • Jet
            • 4.0
              • Engines
                • Jet 4.0

                  • Double click on the MaxLocksPerFile setting.
                    • If necessary, change the Base to Decimal
                    • Change the value to 99500 and then click OK.

This link shows a different registry path for 64 bit.

No doubt you shut down and restarted Access after the regedit, so I won't even mention that.
