    form design

    Hi

having finally sorted the tables for my Database I'm now onto Form design which is a more familiar concept to me.

    However...

I created a form added an unbound text area and typed in text etc.

I then added an image and set it to centre in properties.

I then checked that everything on the form had a width setting of 10cm.

IN design view it looks perfect but when I change to form view the form image moves to the centre of my screen leaving the text on the left.

Am I missing a setting in the properties? as a test I added thin borders but these are not visible

    thanks

    Ian

Shot in the dark, but what's the setting in File/Options/Current Database/Document Window Options? I'd try Overlapping if it's currently Tabbed.

Did you use an Image control? The 'center' setting in Picture Alignment is to position image within the control, not on the form.

Cannot replicate the issue. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

EDIT: Oh, Paul got a post in already, didn't see it. I tried his suggestion and no difference. The image shows up in same position it shows in design view.

How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

    Hi

thanks for the advice. I checked the proffered suggestion which helped but not 100% so started trying some settings and if I set the form to "popup" it all looks perfect.

    Off to research popup!!

    thanks

    Ian
