    Adding New Text Boxes

Ill try to keep this as to the point as it can be.

I have a form with several text boxes to display records. If I want to add a new text box to display a new field I added to the table how can I do this?

I've done it several times previously and its always been a struggle to add to an existing form.

The expression builder is useless as it doesn't link the records.

I have added the new field to query's that are relevant, but I still cant see it on the dropdown for control source.

how can I find where the control source is looking to generate the field names?

Thanks, I knew I had to add it to the query but I couldn't find which query it was.. (it was on a test form not set up right.)

I know how to see the record source for the form now after trying your suggestion. It's really simple when you know what you are doing.

    Thanks again,

is your form based on the table or a query (Record Source of form)?
You should be able to see your new field in the control source drop down if it's based on a table.
If you can't see the new field and the form is based on a query, then you'll need to add the new field to that query.
Once you can see the new field, you can add it to the form like ranman said.

Yea, I did it the way he suggested and It directed me to the record source for the form. That's what I was trying to find. I didn't realise it was a form wide parameter. I thought it was for each text box.

    Thanks for the replies.
