    Tab Index Functionality in 2007

I am working on a form with tons of check boxes and buttons. Rather than click around and change the index individually I'd like to use the built in functionality in Access to drag and drop them in the desired order. Only problem is I'm not able to drag and drop anything in that window. The only thing that seems to work is the Auto Order button and the scroll bar. In other words, the utility is useless as is except to view the existing order.

    What's up with that?

you CAN drag and drop buttons in design mode.

or do you want to drag and drop things in view mode?

what things, buttons? in design mode or view mode?
why do you want to drop live buttons? it makes no sense.

or are you talking about MOVING the button tab order? (no drag and drop here)

I just want to re-order the rows (tab order) the way the instructions seem to indicate.

Umm..., no. I clicked and dragged on top of the field, not the front of the row. Your suggestion of course, worked.

    Thanks for your patience.

Should be able to grab and drag any or several items in the TabOrder list. I do it. Must select by click and hold on the squares on left edge then drag. Should see a thick black line that shows the new location as you drag.
