Seaparating text box and label

How does one separate a text box and label in MS Access 2010? They seem to travel together side-by-side. I want to put one on top of the other.

I am using MS Access 2010. Also. I want to put one of them in the header and the other in the body of the table.

if the form design view, click on the arrange tab and then remove layout, then you will be able to drag the label to where you want

Select the label only, cut
click nothing on the form, paste

After removing the layout, sometimes you can simply click and drag a label from a detail area to a page or report header. Sometimes you have to select the label (just the label, not the text box), then 'cut' or Ctl+c, then click the header area, where you want the label to reside, then 'paste' it. Pasting usually places it in the upper right corner of the header area where you clicked. Just click and drag it to the spot where it belongs.

Does this also work when one wants to make one a different size than the other? I generally want the label to be small. The textbox is usually larger. However, when I size one the size on the other box also changes.

Remove Layout and can then resize each control independently of others. This is why I avoid design wizards, they do things I don't like and I then have to redesign everything anyway.
