Searching a form with specific criteria bringing up error of different records

    Hello

I have a form that I am searching by one numeric field (ID number) and I enter the specific number of a record which the form brings up for me but if I hit enter it shows me another record that does not have the criteria I listed. I have never encountered this before for this form. Anyone have an idea of why this may be happening?

    Thanks!

No idea at all. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Wish I could but too much sensitive data to post.

Basically the search at bottom of form I will enter 12345 and it pulls up ID 12345 but if I hit enter again instead of giving me the usual message of no more records found it goes to the next record which for example is ID 55555. Never have seen this in a basic search function before.

Can't make a copy and remove confidential info?

What 'search at bottom of form' - is this a textbox with code?

At the bottom of the form it will list in bottom left the record number you are on out of the total number of records. Ex: 15 of 100

To the right of that is a search box. That is the search that is having issues.

I've never made much use of that intrinsic search box. I cannot replicate your issue. If I press enter again and no match, stays on same record and don't get a message.
