missing parameter value

I was doing a lot of "things" to a form last night; and I "thought" that everything was working just fine...


BUT this morning, I am getting a request for (2) missing parameter values; the requests are valid in that (for example: forms![frmSpec].[txtType]) is a valid control... but why it doesn't have it where it needs it... I must have done "something"

I'm at a complete loss as to where to (efficiently) look for the error. I tried stepping thru the commands, but that has given me little insight. I can tell that the subforms are loading correctly, and then after that...BANG run-time '2501', open form action was cancelled!

I guess, I could systematically undo everything that I did last night... but that's.... well I'd rather not have to go that route

Either:
the form : frmSpec is not open
forms![frmSpec].[txtType] is not the correct spelling
the query cannot find the field its asking for
some field is misspelled in the query

BUT
if this is a crosstab query, then you MUST fill in the PARAMETERS on the query via parameters button on the toolbar.

the error is occurring while the form is trying to open
the spelling is correct
and its not a cross tab query...

which is why I'm totally baffled

I use Rick Fisher's Find and Replace for Access add-in to make edits and track down mysteries like this. Saved my sanity more than once. Cost about $50. There is a freebie called V-Tools.
