Two things incorrect in my current Ceil Inn database

    CeilInnn.zip

I have two things that are wrong in my current Ceil Inn tutorial. The first is that on the customers form
it does not show all of the days and charges if a customers stays more that 1 day consecutively.

In number 22. on the Ceil Inn tutorial it shows a customers who slayed 5 days in a row in room 106 at the daily rate of 85.85.

My Ceil Inn database only shows the first day.

I followed the instruction on putting that sfOccupancies form as a subform on the Customers form, but still I got nothing
like the form shown in the Ceil Inn tutorial.

The second item is that the total is all messed up on the sfOccupancies form, not the sbfOcupancies form. The total is 4 6,624.68
for just the total room charge and 106.17 for the total phone charge. This make no sense.

I am guessing it is adding up all of the changes for all of the guests to get this high figure.

It is fine on the subform on the Customers form, but it is way off on just the sfOccupancies form.

This might not be a error, but it sure looks like one.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou_Reed

PS. I have attached my Ceil Inn database file (zipped)
since that obviously is needed to answer these two questions.

I am sorry., I must ask this question, again. In the subform sfOccupancies on the Customers form.

The form does not open like it should in examples of the Ceil Inn tutorial shown here:

    http://www.functionx.com/access/appl...ns/ceilinn.htm .

At present it provides some sliding marker/bar on the far right edge, that allows one to move up and down
the form. That is all that it does. In the form in the Ceil Inn tutorial if a guest stays on several
consecutive days the form opens up on one screen showing the dates of occupancy and the
charges for each date. This is all on the same screen - conveniently shown together.

I have an example of the Customers form that shows the sbfOccuancies subform doing just that. How does
one modify my subform to do this? I assume it is in the properties window that something must be changed.

A zip file of my Ceil inn tutorial is attached in pervious post.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou_Reed

it's an old post, the web page no longer exists. Try going to the functionx.com website and search there
