Ok finally figured out what it was. Somehow on sfrmEmpDevices that is on frmMainMenu had record locks on. I changed to no locks and it is now functional. Almost made me pull my hair out on this one. Thanks for everyones assistance!

Product entry form- duplicate last record in table/copy/paste in new record
Select record in a listbox to display memo field from that record in unbound text box
Append if record doesn't exist, update if record exists question
Set record source of a subform combo filter to null when adding new record
