Collecting data by email

I know you can collect data by email.
But can you also include other information from the database within the email?
The end goal: being able to send a bulk email to members ... displaying their current address, phone number, etc., a space for them to insert changes, and also various fields where they can enter information we want to collect.

Collecting data via email is not trivial; in general Microsoft is not following on this idea strongly with so many simply going to web apps instead. I believe the product set was InfoPath but I must confess to being out of date on this topic.

Info inside the email itself is difficult to get into a database. It is easier and more routine to send out an excel template attachment to the email for the user to complete and return - as the import of an excel is very straight forward.
