get/Let in function and when to use?

    I've noticed on this page

    http://www.cpearson.com/excel/option...rocedures.aspx

using "get/let" inside of a function name on creation

Could someone please explain to me when to use either and their purpose?

Normally I just write the function name without them

The Get/Let is not used with standard modules.
So only with classes? I've made my own class objects before however I didn't use get/let....
