Search Query issue

Afternoon everyone,

Firstly, let me explain that my Access skills are at beginner level. I am learning as I go along so please bear with me when describing my issue.

I have created a database for work to keep a record of all the quality standard publications on file.

I have one table entitled "BRITISH" and at present I use a front screen form which has a button for viewing a list of all the publications and one for opening a search form I created.

The search form is where I have the issue.






I have created a query called "Search British" which searches the table I mentioned earlier from criteria entered into the publication box or the name box.

Problem is, I have no idea what criteria to enter in the query to get this button to work

I've managed to sort the Clear Search Parameters button so it clears the search boxes but I need help with the search query

If anybody can assist I would greatly appreciate it - you would be helping an Access newbie get a few brownie points at work and also learn for the future.
