    Access taking up CPU

Using Access 2010 and Windows 7 Home Premium. Lately, When I close Access, the program closes
but something in the background stays open.
I notice my computer getting sluggish and if I open Task Manage I find 4 to 6 instances of Access

using CPU. If I force a close on each instance, I get all my speed back.

What is causing Access to stay open, and how can I fix the problem.

    TIA
    Mike

What kind of code are you running? if you are opening connections to databases with DAO or ADO objects and not closing them properly you'll get multiple instances of MS access open at the same time.
