    Load Records into our database

We are a music school and are exploring having customers use a tablet to provide us with the required information to register students. (names, age, date of birth, address...etc)

I need some advice before we dive into this project.

    1. What kind of software/program can or should we develop in the tablet to this end. ?

    2. How would we then upload the datata into our database?

Anyone's expert advice would be greatly appreciated.

    thank you
    victor

I think you are going to have to provide more detail in order to get a focused response.

What database do you anticipate using? Do you have an IT/IM/DBA section/group?
Who are the Customers? How many Customers? Where are these Customers located?
What kinds of tablets? What operating systems? What type of communications?

Have you done any research (google/youtube/bing) to see what registration systems might be available to an Education facility or what other schools are using?

We have a home grown 2003 Access Database.

Instead of having customers write on paper when they walk into to school,
we would give them a tablet where they would write the information we need.

We need to develop some kind of program on the tablet to capture the information they write.
This would only be used at the school.

Then this data would be imported to our Access database.

We are looking for simplicity and elimination of paper.

thanks for your time and questions

There is a free generic data model for student registration here. It may give you some insight on the tables and relationships that could exist. The model is generic, so may include things that are not related to your needs. Use the pieces/parts that make sense to you and your needs.

    Good luck with your project.
