Sorting Report Column

Hello Forum,



I have a column with Invoice numbers and would like to sort them in ascending order. When I try to sort under design view, it doesn't allow me to sort them. And I already have it as ascending under the "Group and Sort" field.

Any suggestions?

Reports have their own sorting which I think you are using. You can not sort a query, use it as Report recordset, and have that sort order guaranteed.
Please tell us more.

I'm confusing myself over here. The query runs and sorts the invoices in the correct order, but when the report is run, the order is changed and not sorted. How can I adjust the report sorting to work the way I need then?
That is what the "Group and Sort" looks like under the report.

I moved the Sort by "Inv No" to the top of the list and now it works fine. Simple and easy fix. Don't know why I didn't try it earlier
