Trying to add a navigation subform with top border that matches other subforms

I am customising the microsoft Desktop inventory template, and struggling to get a blue border
above the datasheet as shown above. I want to then link the datasheet to the navigation subform so that
the final result is as shown below.

At the moment, after adding a new navigation button and adding it to the subform, i get no gap between the button
and the datasheet. As this is a web template i dont have access to design view, only layout view.

Any help is appreciated.
