    Combobox that displays data from two tables

    Basic question: Can a combo box display data from two different, but related tables?

    If yes, should I just input the table/column info into the data tab, row source? (I've already tried this and it hasn't worked but I don't want to waste more effort if you tell me it's not possible.)

    My problem is rather complicated so if you need more information let me know.

    Basic answer: Yes, the RowSource would be a query that joins tables.

    Thanks so much. I'll try to muddle my through it this evening.

    My understanding is that the table and column name should be added to the end of the string (if I wanted the field to be at the end of the combo box). Something like this:

    SELECT [Vltn].[VltnRcrdNmbr], [Vltn].[VltnCtgryWrnngLttrRcrdNmbr] FROM [Vltn];
    SELECT [Vltn].[VltnRcrdNmbr], [Vltn].[VltnCtgryWrnngLttrRcrdNmbr] FROM [Vltn]; SELECT [VLtnCtgryDtl].[VltnCtgryDtl] FROM [VltnCtgryDtl]

    And then, in the Format tab, I would adjust the Column Count and Widths to accommodate the additional columns.

    May be writing again in the morning. :-)

    No, that is not a query that joins tables.

    Use the query builder. Can build right in the RowSource property. Click the ellipsis (...) to open query builder.
