    Separating Tables from Forms, etc

I have an application where the client is asking me to put the tables in one DB and the Forms, etc. into another - separate the tables.

Is there a utility that can help me do this? Or do I have to change every field, etc. to use the new linked DB?

Your client is asking for a split database.

Tools > Database Utilities > Database Splitter

    Follow the Wizard.

    Cheers,

When I run the Database Splitter, I get tow errors:

    Subscript out of range
    Invalid procedure call or argument

I did not write this application, so I am not sure what the errors may mean. The application was written in Access 2000 and I converted it to Access 2002. My Access is 2002, version 10.6771.6858

    Suggestions welcomed...

Got it to work for me too. Used the below info even though they had other options.

    1. Possibly some corruption in your database.
From a post by someone as Microsoft:

My name is Kerri Lipe. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.

Sounds like the database contains some corruption. Import all the objects
into a new database and then test the database splitter. This should work
    without errors.

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
    reply to this posting.
