Sharing an Access 2010 Web Database.

    Hi

I have an Access 2010 web database and I have around a dozen users that will use it every now and again and not for a great length of time.

I can't publish the database to sharepoint because our company is using Sharepoint 2007 and there seems to be an error when trying.

So, I will have to put the database on a share drive. Does anyone have any tips for this?

    Thanks

    Ross

A shared db should be split design.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Sorry, I should have said a regular db should be split. The data macros will not work with split design. Will have to rebuild the db as non-web version without data macros. I don't know if there is a conversion utility.

An alternative would be to open a Microsoft 360 account. The small business version at $15/mo will support Access web services.
