The simplest method is to have the form be bound to your table, and set the form's data entry property to yes. If you're trying to use a query, it's quite possible you've created a read-only recordset:

I'm not sure what you expect anyone to be able to do without a detailed description of your setup or a sample db.

hi, i created sample of my db

what i need to do is to create form that adds record to the tables in the DB.
i have no clue how to do this, though i tried so many things.

i need to add records to my table through form.

is there anyway to turn the "films records" form into a form that adds records?
i'll be very grateful for any explanations, ideas, etc...

Because films have a one-to-many relationship with producers, you should have a subform for producers (otherwise you can't have more than one associated with a film). In any case, the form does allow new records; you just have to click on the navigation buttons at the bottom to get to a new record.

i noticed it does allow new records, but my other forms doesn't and unfortunatly i can't get why... it semms like they are only for and nothing else...

    what can i do?

in addition, when i tried to re-build my DB i didn't success to make the relationship. i get error message like:
invalid field definition 'id' in definition of index or relationship

but when i compare the data in the other file - everithing seems to be the same!
