    Exclamation Odd message at startup

I'm prototyping a db structure using Access 2013. By that, I'm roughing out tables, queries and forms to measure the difficulty of what I'm trying to do. Translated that means that objects are being created and destroyed as I learn from the exercise.

But when I fire up, I get a message that a form name is misspelled or refers to a missing form...with another line about an Action Failed dialog popping up. Well, I have two 'on click' actions, no form of the name being reported (it got erased 2 days or so ago), one simple query and not much else. If I click the OK of the above message, everthing works fine.

I've checked all the remaining forms for a reference, looked through dependencies, and looked at all objects/properties to find why this message pops up. But I can find nothing.

Where else might I look, please?

Are you using Macros? Maybe there is a Macro that wants to use a form that is not available. The message sounds like you are trying to open a query that is dependent on a form rather than simply opening the DB. Perhaps there is corruption.

You may have some corruption -- did you try a compact and repair?

I had a similar situation -- I had a Form18 which I deleted. Invariably, Access would ask about Form18, or it is misspelled.... I tried Compact repair -- nada.
Finally I created a new database and copied all to the new. Problem went away.

Is the 'offending' form set as the start up form?

    Thanks to everyone who replied.

Compact/repair simply threw up the same error message as I get on opening. So the thing is obviously corrupted, and will be erased. I'll start that part again...grrrr
