Access Runtime on Dell Venue 8 tablet

i have a lot of stuff in Access databases and i just got a dell Venue 8 tablet. It came with Microsoft Office 2013.
I downloaded Access Runtime 2013 86x, installed it, and, nothing happened.
I downloaded Access Runtime 2010, installed it, and it opens, but requests a file name.
i tried to open one of my Microsoft Access 2010 databases, but all I get is a blank screen with one screen tip at the bottom for the first button on my Switchboard menu.

I am a little hesitant to shell out a hundred bucks for the full version.

    Any thoughts?

Have you made sure the db is in a trusted location or to enable code?

I have one W8.1 64 bit machine with Office 2013 32bit and Access RT 32bit and have not had any problems with apps I created using Access 2010. Considering your "nothing happens" and "blank screen" comments, I suspect you are using Macros and not VBA.

Also, I would not have considered installing any version of Access that did not match the Office Suite installed. Office 2013 32bit = Access RT 2013 32 bit and Office 2013 64bit = Access RT 2013 64bit. Perhaps you can double check the version of Office suite and make sure that you do not have an Access RT version of a different flavor installed. Not sure if the following link is relevant but...
