Combo box only going to "L" in the alphabet...

Okay so this is weird! I created a combo box that searches for a record in my form, and the combo box will only go to "L" in the alphabet. What the heck? If I type the name "SANCHEZ" into the combo box and hit enter, I will actually get a SANCHEZ record, but it will not appear in the combo box. Obviously this won't work because there are many Sanchezes and that last name can't be searched.

I simply created the combo box using the wizard - never had this problem before. I didn't change any settings in the properties or anything. Any idea what could be going wrong? Thank you!

I'm not sure what exactly you are doing - are you using the Autofill feature of the combo box?

It sounds as if you have hit a limit on the number of rows a combo box can have. The default is 1,000, but you can change that with File - Options - Current Database (that's for A2010 - I don't know about A2007)

June, this database does have over 100,000 records so this may be exactly what I need. Thank you very much. I'm not familiar with VBA but I will give this to my co-worker who is and have her try it out, thank you. This may be why it works fine in my other databases - this is the first time I've run into this problem, and this db has the most records.
