i need to add a new column in the database for more info but records are more that 400 and it gives me An error message (error 3190) more that 255..
how to manage that ? Over all without erasing existing data!!

Number of records should not be an issue. There is a limit of 255 fields.

No idea. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
Did you run Compact & Repair?
