Creating multiple versions of the same form?

Is there a way to create multiple versions of the same form?

I have created the form that has 48 options and formatted it how I like it and it records to my tables. Is there a way to take this form, duplicate it, and change only the duplicate so there is say 36 options now instead of 48? And have it so it records to the same place as the 48 option one? Thanks in advance for any tips and help!

You can copy the form and modify the copy. You may also be able to use a single form and hide controls when it opens. I'm curious what options represent, as this hints at a normalization problem.

I'm creating this for my company and the 48 options represent 48 individual cells that are part of a unit. Each cell has certain measurements that are recorded for it. We also create 36 cell systems, 20 cell systems, 10 cell systems etc. so I wanted to take my 48 cell form, delete cells 37-48 and now have my 36 cell form because the only difference is the number of cells that are being measured.

The problem I had with copying and pasting was that when I modified the copy it changed the original...

That shouldn't happen. I would select the form in the database window, hit CTL-C then CTL-V. That should create an independent copy of the form.

...No clue how I managed to do that before but you are correct and it worked fine. Thanks for the help! Do I still have a normalization issue?

    Happy to help!

If your table design includes a field for each cell or measurement, I'd say so. Typically you'd use a related table with a record for each cell. I don't really know your data, so that's just a general comment.

Looks like the normalization issue has already been raised there, so I'll leave it in their capable hands.

The problem where the form you copied changed the original also was because you copies a shortcut in the custom navigation menu I'm guessing. I know this is an old post but look at me... I'm helping. lol
