Created a form but now what...

I am new to all this access business, and frankly didn't know anything about it. Recently i was asked to create a form for an company on access, which basically logs the information regarding the employees and hours they spent on each task. I created a custom form while reading tutorials from the internet and all, but the form cannot store records (as in store a record and open a new blank record). I don't understand why this happens, but a bit more researching showed it had something to do with autonumbers, but as today is the first time in my life I have used Microsoft Access, I have no idea how to proceed. I have also attached the file I have been working on, so if someone could guide me or solve my problem it would be great.

Your form MUST be connected to a data source (table or query)
your example has no tables to store the data. Make some tables.

You can click tables tab, new, and let the Wizard help you design a table with all the fields you need.
(get a book on Access. Once you get the basics, you can make anything)

You built a form before building table (cart before the horse). There is no place to store data.

Forms are used as an interface to input data into tables.

Suggest you get a basic tutorial book that will start you from step 1.

sooo i went to the wizrd this showed up. How do i link the enteries in the form to the database? Excuse me if this was a dumb question, i am new to all this. Plus in the form there are multiple enteries for description, what name do i assign that?

Forum is not venue to learn very elementary concepts. I suggest you need to learn the basics of relational database principles, Access functionality, programming concepts. If you don't want to get a book, maybe this site will serve as well http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/

I might have figured it out, but one last query, when creating a database, for some entries I need to have a combo box, so what would be the data type for that entry, and how would I modify the entries that appear on the drop box. I am hesitant to get the book, because this is the only task I have on Access and might not have to use Acess again.

Get a used book - get several. I once bought 4 VB programming books for $10 from Amazon. Was Carlson's site helpful?

The combobox can be for mostly any field type - text, number, date/time, yes/no.
