    Problems with calculation fields

Edit: Figured out the ##### problem it was formatting :-)

So another part of my homework assignment is adding calculation fields. I know how to use the builder in design view to add another column with calcuations. But how do i add one at the end of a column to do the average of the column. Also when I did the one in design view it did this and I can't figure out why. I am pretty sure the ######### are supposed to be numbers is it a possible formatting problem?Click image for larger version.

The ######### means the number is too big to display in the field. Widen the column.

    1. table or query in datasheet view, click the Totals button on ribbon to open a row at bottom of table/query. Select the desired function below each column

    2. build a report and do summary calcs in header/footer sections
